Google’s “Aha” Moment

I’ll give them News.
- I’ll give them Images.
- I’ll give them Videos.
- I’ll give them Audio.
- I’ll give them the latest text content – Blogs and Bookmarks.
- I’ll give them Video Podcasts.
- I’ll give them news from the Blogosphere.
- I’ll monitor the latest Web Feeds (RSS).
- I’ll call it Google Universal Search and I’ll rule the search world forever.
So, to get top search engine rankings, it’s clear that producing only text content is not enough.
Where Did “Content Marketing” Come From?
Ever heard of Seth Godin or David Meerman Scott? These guys were among the first to recognize the trend that traditional marketing was becoming obsolete. So-called “interruptive marketing” was no longer achieving the desired results.
They realized that the Internet had caused this shift of emphasis. With so much information readily available, consumers had suddenly become empowered. They could read reviews and blogs, and see videos about their possible purchases.
Marketers were suddenly discovering that if they didn’t get information about their products or services out there in front of potential consumers, they would be left behind and out of business.
Has Content Marketing Got Principles?
Yes.
Just one.
If your content isn’t valuable, in the sense that it will solve the problem that the surfers are seeking a solution to, you will never be able to capture their attention and build a relationship with them, let alone make sales.
In effect, it is the customer who now decides the rules of engagement. Your role is to be in the right place at the right time.
It is essential to be on the Front Page of Google and/or all over the Social Media Sites, whether it’s YouTube or Technorati or Podbean or Flickr.
Let’s Look at Types of Traffic!
Forget about Traffic – let’s think about VISITORS.
You can get Visitors for Free.
You can get Visitors by piggybacking other people’s efforts, for example, affiliates or bloggers.
You can pay for Visitors using PPC or Banners etc.
By concentrating on the word Visitors you can appreciate that “Traffic” is generated by getting one Visitor at a time.
Internet Marketing is nothing more than getting as many visitors as possible, and converting them into lifetime customers.
Here we are concerned with Free Visitors from:
- The organic search results from Google, Yahoo, Live and Ask.
- Referral traffic from Social Media Platforms
- Blogs
- Video Sharing Sites
- Videocast Directories etc…

Blog for Profits

In case you didn’t know, the days when Webmasters can put up a 5-10 page web site and watch them sit on the front page of the Search Engines . . . are long gone.
But you’ve probably noticed the amazing number of blogs that have been grabbing a spot on the front page of Google these days. That’s simply because blogs are designed to give the search engines exactly what they want . . . fresh, unique and original content.
However, that’s not the only thing that makes blogs so extremely powerful.
Blogs are quickly changing the way we market our web sites because they are DOMINATING the Search Engines with the kind of frequently updated, fresh content that other webmasters love to link to!
You may already know that originally blogs were used as a kind of online diary, mainly because updating them on a daily basis was as easy as point and click. Today, many are online blogging. Blog about what you know, keep consistent, and keep it unique. If you are looking to make serious money online, you may have overlooked blogging as a real option but it is and it doesn’t happen over night. Like anything it takes time and with business start-ups you need to put in your time, remember the first 3 years are your survival, keep with it and BLOG daily.[youtube=http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=xXcQ8-GkcMw]
